Saying what you have

Are you going there by car? (plural / polite)

Look out for the following pieces of vocabulary in this clip.

a bheil … agaibh? do you have … ?

This is the formal way you use to speak to an older person, or to a group of people.

a bheil airgead agaibh? do you have money?

a bheil obair agaibh? do you have a job?

a bheil … agad? do you have … ?

This is the informal way you use to speak to a friend or a child.

le càr by car

a bheil sibh a’ dol ann le càr? are you going there by car? (plural / polite)

tha balach agus nighean againn we have a boy and a girl

tha fichead sgillinn agam I have 20 pence
